This is a work from home position with 1 day induction in our Stockport office with a further 3 weeks minimum training this can be done remotely. If you are unable to commit to this, please do not apply.

As part of our Credit Control Team, you will be working on inbound and outbound calls, speaking with our customers and managing high volumes of accounts that are in arrears, with the aim of recovering outstanding payments and reinstating direct debits. You will be compassionate, empathetic and confident. Be able to construct emails and have conversations.

Responsibilities for our Credit Control Consultant:

  • Reinstating direct debits, taking payments and applying payments to our systems
  • Ability to follow processes and scripts in line with our direct debit guarantee requirements
  • Be able to provide high levels of compassion, accuracy and conversational skills
  • Being able to have challenging conversations and resolve disputes at first point of contact where possible.
  • Adding accurate notes, updating our systems and ensuring the correct actions are taken in line with our direct debit processes
  • Ability to use multiple systems and prioritise your workload
  • Providing an excellent service, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything we do

Requirements for our Credit Control Consultant:

  • Have telephone experience and come from a customer services or collections background ideally
  • Have excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to follow processes and scripts in line with the companies’ requirements
  • Have an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Show compassion, be confident, professional and have the ability to have challenging conversations
  • Able to work the following shifts:  40-hour week Monday to Tuesday 8.30am -5.30pm, Wednesday -Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4pm
  • Ability to work independently at home.
