Reporting to the SVP Human Resources, the VP of Talent Acquisition will lead the evolution of TheKey’s Talent Acquisition function and team. The VP of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading, managing, and delivering all recruitment and orientation services and solutions. This role will focus on assessing, monitoring, and evaluating talent acquisition team members, policies, processes, tools, techniques, and technology needed to deliver recruitment goals and objectives. This role will also partner with the Employee Experience and Marketing teams to optimize our employer brand, employee value proposition, candidate experience, and performance metrics for our growing organization. 

The VP Talent Acquisition is an innovative leader of strategic initiatives, mature the team by developing others, and get into the weeds when the need arises as a player coach. The VP of Talent Acquisition will actively engage with cross functional peers to align priorities, create focus, and pragmatically organize resources to produce recruiting results. The VP of Talent Acquisition will function as a trusted business partner and advisor to our executive and senior leadership teams to develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that delivers on our hiring plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state of the talent acquisition function including people, process, policies, tools, techniques, and technology. 

  • Design, develop and execute the enterprise talent acquisition strategy and service delivery model focused on optimizing the candidate experience and increasing organizational capacity and capability. 

  • Provide subject matter expert and process ownership for end-to-end talent acquisition processes including the following: position planning, control, and management; requisitioning; sourcing; screening; selection; decision, offer, acceptance; post-offer and pre-hire; and day 1 new hire orientation. 

  • Lead and mentor the talent acquisition team in building scalable models for sourcing and recruiting for both high quality and high volume that enables client focus and service at scale and delivers a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. 

  • Drive productivity and efficiency within the Talent Acquisition team by setting performance metrics, monitoring progress, and implementing best practices. 

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the talent acquisition team to set priorities, assign accountabilities, create a culture of accountability and performance through operational efficiencies and assessing and enhancing ongoing performance. 

  • Lead the design and execution of compliant recruitment and orientation processes, staying up to date with changing laws and regulations to ensure our practice remains in full compliance. 

  • Develop and implement standardized recruitment methodology from vacancy all the way through to orientation. 

  • Regularly identify and implement areas of operational enhancement and best practices relative to Talent Acquisition processes, process flows, technology, and programs to drive consistent and outstanding levels of efficiency. 

  • Ensure all stakeholders receive training and are competent to carry out their specific recruitment activities. 

  • Collaborate internally across the enterprise, in addition to maintaining an external focus on best practices, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment. 

  • Partner with Employee Experience to manage relationships with external vendors for recruitment advertising including but not limited to digital marketing, social media platforms, and career fair participation. 

  • Manage agency relationships, contract negotiations, and service delivery based on established service level agreements and performance metrics and continually review and manage vendor performance. 

  • Partner with the HR Business Support COE to drive continuous improvement of the utilization of iCIMS to better enable talent processes and maintaining data integrity. 

  • Perform and lead regular system audits to ensure recruitment process is automated and streamlined within the applicant tracking system. 

  • Embed talent acquisition best practice tools and techniques into our sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes and approaches. 

  • Partner with the the Talent Development and Learning COE and IT, as well as relevant departments, to drive seamless integration into the orientation and onboarding experience. 

  • Develop relationships with industry associations, schools, tradeshows, and other connections to increase brand recognition with job seekers. 

  • Partner with student programs & clubs, industry organizations, local and regional organizations to drive continuous talent pipelines. 

  • Work in partnership with TheKey’s Employee Experience and Marketing team to define the employer branding strategy, voice, style, and channels to reach our talent networks. 

  • Engage the talent acquisition team to lead the entire company in participation of employer branding initiatives to provide an insider’s view into what makes TheKey the best company to work for in the industry. 

  • Influence business leadership and recruiters to identify and plan for hiring needs against forecast and execute hiring plans to deliver against headcount requirements and active searches. 

  • Measure and monitor talent acquisition KPI’s to identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with HR. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college is required. 

  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in talent acquisition; healthcare experience strongly preferred

  • In depth knowledge and experience with Applicant Tracking and Human Resources Information Systems
     

Knowledge And Skills

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, and experience using HR databases, preferably iCIMS and Workday. 

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, practices and procedures, and current best practices pertaining to talent acquisition. 

  • Strategic thinker and executor that possesses qualities that inspire confidence and trust across multiple levels. 

  • Ability to motivate and influence teams to produce results within tight deadlines while simultaneously managing the talent acquisition portfolio.

Preferred Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or complimentary certification, preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time throughout the work day

  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.
