JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to users, maintain
IT systems and ensure the seamless operation of our organization's technology infrastructure.
The role involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing IT assets, and supporting
the IT team in delivering excellent service.

ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs). Experience with
  • Microsoft Office 365,
  • Active Directory, or ticketing systems.
  •  Basic hardware troubleshooting (e.g., printers, laptops, desktops). Soft Skills: Excellent
  • communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience: Entry-Level: 0-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
  • Mid-Level: 2-4 years, including experience with advanced troubleshooting or system
  • administration.
  • Senior-Level: 5+ years, with expertise in managing IT projects or leading teams
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop
  • Administrator Associate, or ITIL.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
  • On-site or hybrid work arrangements.
  • May require occasional weekend or after-hours availability for urgent issues.
  • Ability to lift hardware equipment for installation.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot system errors, network problems, and application issues.
  • Resolve user requests through phone, email, chat, or in-person assistance.
  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and update software and hardware.
  • Monitor system performance and network availability.
  • Conduct regular system backups and ensure data security.
  • User Training and Documentation: Educate users on new systems, software, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and IT manuals.
  • Asset Management: Track and maintain IT equipment inventory.
  • Assist in procuring and setting up new devices and tools.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other IT team members for larger projects or escalated

issues.

Communicate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
