Corporate Tax Senior Associate

About the Role

You will be joining a high-performing and supportive Corporate Tax team that specializes in providing bespoke solutions for businesses facing complex tax challenges. The role offers a nurturing environment where your capabilities will be recognized, rewarded, and developed through holistic training in technical compliance, advisory skills, and commercial competencies.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research and assist with tax consulting advice, including:

- Tax consolidation

- Tax treaties

- Hybrid mismatches

- Controlled Foreign Companies

- Withholding taxes

- Thin capitalisation

- Permanent establishments

- AMITs

- Research and assist with international tax issues and calculations

- Support M&A activities, including tax structuring and due diligence services

- Assist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters, and audits

- Liaise with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients

- Research and analyse technical tax issues and prepare tax reports

- Prepare company and trust tax returns, including consolidated returns for large corporate clients

- Prepare and review tax-effect accounting calculations

- Participate in business development initiatives and client meetings

Required Skills & Experience

- Currently holding or studying towards CA, CTA or other relevant professional qualification

- Self-starter mentality with keen interest in understanding client needs

- Experience in corporate tax (commercial or professional services environment)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent client relationship and communication skills

- Demonstrated work ethic and genuine interest in client success

- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in corporate tax advisory
