The ideal candidate for this position has experience in developing, executing and overseeing marketing initiatives including but not limited to advertising campaigns, public relations, digital media, product and corporate websites, trade shows, sponsorships and corporate events. The marketing manager will also have supervisory responsibility providing direction, guidance and inspiration for marketing team members.
The Marketing Manager should be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, and may be challenged to strive under tight deadlines to meet the company’s changing needs.
Objectives of this role
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for both product and corporate brands:
- Work closely with portfolio managers, sales and marketing leadership to establish optimal positioning and messaging, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives to support new product launches, the existing branded and generics portfolio, and the corporate brand
- Lead the execution of marketing campaigns for the branded and generics portfolio, and the corporate brand including promotional and advertising campaigns, marketing collateral such as brochures, sales sheets, and exhibit materials
- Manage projects to budget, ensure deadlines are met, and business goals are achieved
- Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners and freelancers as needed
- Direct development of creative and media execution
- Create strategically sound content and ideate new tactics and/or improve current tactics for marketing and promoting the company and our products
- Lead the development of comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with business objectives including managing website content, increasing online visibility, boosting brand awareness, driving website traffic, and increasing social media presence.
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
- Marketing lead in the organization’s Promotional Material Review Committee
- Stay up-to-date on competitive threats and relevant marketing trends
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative market information to guide analysis of competitive and industry trends.
- Monitor and manage expenses within annual marketing budget
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing with a demonstration of past success in pharmaceutical product marketing; experience with injectables or generic pharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
- Understands FDA regulations and compliance guidelines governing the promotion of pharmaceutical products.
- Copywriting: the ability to craft persuasive and compelling written content to promote a product, service, or brand.
- Understand project flow and approval pathways for pharmaceutical product marketing and adhere to company policies on review, approval and distribution of promotional materials.
- Proven success in creating, managing, and committing to a project plan, schedule and budget;
- Business savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience in the use of Veeva Vault PromoMats Content Management Platform.
- Approximately 25% Travel required.
Expected Salary Range:
$115,000-122,000
The salary range displayed is the minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
