Amplify is looking for a Business Systems Scrum Master to serve, support, and coach one or more Agile Scrum team(s) by mentoring them on Agile practices, ensuring clear communication, removing of impediments, helping the team surface and respond to interdependencies with other projects, and helping the team(s) reach its sprint goals.
The Scrum Master will facilitate team productivity by showing the team how to leverage metrics for continuous improvement, removing blockers that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals,share Agile expertise to achieve high flow at a sustainable pace, and improve team maturity, all while preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team. This role will collaborate closely with members of the Business Systems leadership team including Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Development Leads, key business users, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and lead team scrum activities, including:
Scheduling and facilitating daily standups, sprint retrospective, sprint planning, grooming, sprint review ceremonies, etc.
Help develop and refresh the team's working agreement and Definition of Done.
Work with the team to track metrics that help the team see the effectiveness of their improvement initiatives
Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent work completion.
Encourage and support the team in finding the balance between their ways of working and ways of working for the whole group.
Providing practices that support the team in visualizing, selecting and delivering the highest value work.
Work closely with the Product Owner and Project Managers on roadmap creation, forecasting activities, and team planning.
Work with Product Owner, Business Owner, and Project Managers to clarify priority of items in the sprint backlog.
Work with the Product Owner to ensure that the team's backlog is well groomed and actionable based on the team’s Definition of Ready, including acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and appropriate artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, user activity diagrams, etc.
Build team cohesion and foster open and honest team communication.
Utilize team feedback and metrics (velocity, carryover, value delivery, unplanned work, team health, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to continuously improve and report these findings back to the team(s)
Help the team develop and sustain ways to ensure that all the initiatives within their project(s) have clearly defined integration points and dependencies.
Basic Requirements:
7+ years of Scrum Master experience for software development teams.
2 years Experience working with JIRA, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
Demonstrated ability to instill Agile values and make teams productive, at any level of maturity.
Very strong communication and leadership skills.
Understanding of software development life cycle and experience in agile frameworks.
Experience working successfully with minimal supervision in a very dynamic and time sensitive work environment with changing priorities.
Ability to escalate issues and drive them to resolution.
Experience managing multiple scrum teams.
Experience forming and maintaining scrum teams.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in a SaaS organization
Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools
Working knowledge of Salesforce or ERP(NetSuite) is a plus
Certified as a Scrum Master or other similar organization
Previous experience leading a team through a waterfall to agile transformation
