Job Description

As an AU Digital Learning Developer/Instructional Designer, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Digital Content Development & Learning Design:
    • Create engaging, industry-aligned digital learning content that meets RTO requirements.
    • Develop and enhance multimedia learning materials, including videos, interactive content, and digital resources.
    • Contextualize assessments to align with learner and compliance needs.
    • Update and improve existing learning resources to maintain relevance and quality.
  • Technology & LMS Management:
    • Utilize AI-assisted content development tools to enhance digital learning experiences.
    • Manage LMS setup, course administration, and integrations, ensuring seamless delivery.
    • Act as an LMS expert, providing support to trainers and staff for system navigation and troubleshooting.
    • Oversee file data management, content version control, and accessibility compliance.
  • Collaboration & Compliance:
    • Work with senior learning design staff to ensure learning materials align with RTO learning design principles.
    • Assist in the development of mandatory training suites for compliance and professional development.
    • Support AMS (Assessment Management Systems) for content evaluation and ongoing improvement.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure that learning content stays up to date and adheres to best practices.
    • Maintain records of content updates, versioning, and compliance checks.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and compliance teams to refine content and ensure quality.

Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Digital Learning Developer or Instructional Designer.
  • Proven experience in digital content development, instructional design, or education/training development.
  • Strong proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) and understanding of course administration.
  • Solid experience with AI-assisted content creation and eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
  • Familiarity with RTO assessment contextualisation and compliance regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create clear and structured educational materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including trainers, designers, and compliance staff.
  • Preferably has experience working within an RTO environment.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in digital learning and instructional design.
