Job Description:

Be part of a leading global company. 3M NZ Ltd is seeking an experienced salesperson to join our Personal Safety Division.  Reporting to the NZ Regional Sales Manager you will have territory responsibility to grow and achieve sales targets whilst supporting 3M Channel Partners and end user customers who use our range of innovative Personal Protective Equipment.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Achieve Personal Safety Division sales targets
  • Achieve individual Pipeline Targets for own territory NZ.  Development and implementation of sales plan to manage distributors and end users in territory
  • Prepare and deliver on sales territory sales plan in alignment with divisional goals
  • Development of new business within defined territory
  • Extensive field sales work including product training at end user customers covering a range of industries such as manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceuticals, food processing and healthcare
  • Develop network of industry contacts with participation and attendance in relevant industry associations
  • Role requires development of technical knowledge relating to our range of Personal Protective Equipment

Qualification
  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years in Professional Sales Role
  • Degree qualification preferred. No Specific Tertiary Qualifications required
  • High degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel analysis & Powerpoint required
  • Experience in a PPE/Safety Sales Role preferred
  • Strong and consistent recent sales results
  • Strong selling and key account management skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Strong Listening Skills /Attention to detail
  • Confident manner with internal team and external customers
  • Problem solving ability & resourcefully innovative in order to fulfil customers requirements
  • Knowledge of Industrial products or terminology an advantage

Location: South Auckland/Waikato region
