Job description

This is a remote position.


Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Redding, CA Time with an hour unpaid break
Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Client Timezone: Redding, California USA

Key Responsibilities:
  • Server and Environment Management:
  • Manage client and internal server environments.
  • Monitor and manage client system backups, including restoration as needed.
  • Monitor server and workstation patching to ensure security and performance.
  • Active Directory Management:
  • Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding incidents and projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to team members as needed.
  • Documentation and Procedures:
  • Follow industry best practices for documentation and standard operating procedures with a high level of detail.
  • Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM):
  • Utilize RMM tools for inventory, asset management, and updates.
  • Project and Maintenance Prioritization:
  • Work with management to define project and maintenance priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades or improvements and assist in planning and implementation.
  • Technology Evaluation and Implementation:
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance company efficiency.
  • Routinely assess industry trends to ensure systems remain current and competitive.
  • Collaboration and Team Support:
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide project support.
  • Build effective relationships with clients and coworkers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent judgment and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and execute under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-motivated approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Proven ability to follow through with tasks and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic, attendance record, and a commitment to excellence.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience using RMM tools for system monitoring and updates.
  • Knowledge of best practices in system administration and IT operations.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their potential impact on efficiency and productivity.
