About the role:
WMG’s User Experience Team is seeking a Senior Product Designer to play a key role in the strategic transformation of our digital product experiences for both internal and external record labels. These tools empower labels, artists, songwriters, producers, A&R teams, marketing professionals, and finance users to build lasting music careers, push creative boundaries, and drive innovation within our business.
In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with content designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to craft user-centered, intuitive, and innovative digital products. You will be working on B2B and Distribution tools elevating them with consumer-grade interfaces that are both highly functional and delightful to use. This role involves leading the end-to-end design process—from discovery through implementation—while collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional team members to refine and iterate on designs.

You’ll have the opportunity to flex your design skills across a diverse range of challenges, including release distribution, artist and songwriter apps, marketing tools, and more.Develop and implement design strategies that transform and optimize products to align with user needs and business goals, carrying them through from vision and research to design, testing, implementation, and launch.Drive user research and usability testing efforts in partnership with a Research team, ensuring that findings are synthesized into actionable design recommendations.Scope and plan design initiatives, ensuring clear priorities, realistic timelines, and alignment with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Contribute to and maintain our Design System, ensuring consistency and clarity across platforms while aligning with accessibility standards.Lead design critiques, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional workshops, fostering alignment and clear communication.Help shape the culture and processes of the UX team and the broader Technology Organization during this period of growth.Learn and collaborate with professionals across the music and tech industries to grow your career and expertise.Lead and mentor other designers, providing guidance and support in executing design projects.About you:At least 5 years of proven experience in Product Design, UX Design, or similar roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating how you’ve designed and delivered intuitive, impactful experiences for complex B2B products.Proven ability to bring a consumer sensibility to B2B experiences, tackling complex flows and data-heavy workflows while delivering elegant and efficient designs.A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, is proactive in collaborating with cross-functional partners, and isn’t afraid to take ownership.Experience with running various types of design research, with the ability to synthesize research findings into clear, actionable steps that inform your work.Proficient in Figma and other design/prototyping tools, with a focus on maintaining organization and clarity in your files.Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and inclusive user experience principles.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design strategies clearly and concisely to cross-functional teams.Collaborative and communicative, valuing teamwork over siloed work, actively seeking feedback to improve solutions, and effectively managing stakeholders to align priorities and drive outcomes.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design and user experience.When applying, kindly provide detailed instructions on how to access your portfolio, showcasing examples of your process and highlighting the impact your work has had.
