The Jr User Experience Designer’s primary responsibility is conducting user research and designing user interfaces. This role will spend about 60% of their time on user research and 40% of their time on design tasks. This role requires a strong foundation in UX research, interviews, usability testing, and design skills.  
 
Role and Responsibilities 
  • Conduct user research, including interviews and usability testing, to gather insights and understand user needs.
  • Perform various types of user and usability testing to evaluate and improve designs.
  • Create wireframes and different fidelity designs to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with user needs and business goals.
  • Utilize a third-party user research platform to obtain user feedback.
  • Utilize Lucidspark for collaboration and other needs.
  • Utilize Figma to create and refine design assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in UX design or a related role.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating user-centered designs.
  • Proficiency in UX research methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing.
  • Ability to create wireframes and different fidelity designs.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Figma.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using user research platform such as Lyssna, UserTesting, Maze, etc.
  • Basic understanding of design systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience working with complex systems that are data heavy.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Mental and physical demands
  • This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
  • The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
  • Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
  • Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the day.
