Position Summary/Objective

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for performing technical and analytical functions in Workday and related areas for complex information system needs. They regularly identify, design, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of human resources and related financial data. They act as the liaison between business teams, application vendors, and IS for system integrations, enhancements, and issue fixes.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Configure complex Workday business processes in HCM, Advanced compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent management, Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll.
  • Lead the development, testing configuration, and implementation of new projects, enhancements, and interfaces.
  • Responsible for translating business needs to system design, conducting system/data analysis, and participating in testing and deployment activities.
  • Promote changes into production, follow strict audit procedures, assist with tenant management, and analyze Workday updates.
  • Lead the creation of audit plans, schedules, and testing of system upgrades and new configurations.
  • Research, diagnose, and resolve issues (e.g., end-user, business process, security, etc.)
  • Work with functional team members to understand requirements and communicate system capabilities/limitations
  • Partner with key stakeholders to create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification documents, test plans, and test cases
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members
  • Maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the company’s internal/external audit controls and compliance practices
  • Lead and manage major Workday releases, including researching new functionality and educating the HR team on enhancements as applicable.
  • Identify impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release and direct regression testing and introduction of required changes as new releases are introduced

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Information Systems, or Data Science.
  • 2+ years of Workday Business Process and/or Domain Security configurations experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday HCM and at least one other functional area: Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation or Talent
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations

Preferred Skills

  • Workday Certification
  •  Experience maintaining systems that support complex organizations covering multiple geographies
  • High proficiency in Excel
