Position Summary: The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and customer satisfaction across our diverse portfolio. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in business development, cross-site selling, and implementing systemic sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional commercial acumen, and a proven track record in the aerospace and defense sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Planning:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities and customer segments.
  • Implement business development processes, including campaign management, pipeline development, and funnel management.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Leverage existing relationships within the aerospace, defense, and medical device industries to drive sales.
  • Cross-Site Selling:
  • Coordinate and manage cross-site sales initiatives to maximize revenue potential across all company locations.
  • Develop value creation models to enhance sales performance at multiple sites.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements with customers.
  • Ensure alignment with company financial goals and performance metrics.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience and Industry Knowledge:
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, with at least 10 years in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Strong background in CNC machining, electromechanical assembly, and integrated manufacturing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace and defense industries.
  • Experience working in or with Tier 1 companies and PE-owned businesses.
  • Technical and Commercial Acumen:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to engage with engineering teams and understand complex technical requirements.
  • Proven ability to read, negotiate, and manage long-term agreements and contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business development processes and systems.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required by the role.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Multi-site experience in sales and business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a systemic business development process.
  • Experience in cross-site selling and developing value creation models.
  • Experience with long-term agreements and commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in penetrating new markets and submarkets.
  • Proven track record of significant business development achievements.
  • Ability to develop a 100-day strategic plan outlining goals, processes, and expected outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary (approximately $200,000 - $210,000)
  • Annual performance-based bonus (25-30% of base salary)

Location:

  • Remote position with a preference for candidates located near major airports or company sites in Philadelphia, PA, or Los Angeles, CA.
