Job description

Charles Taylor is a highly successful global provider of professional services to the insurance industry. We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join our team. This is a remote position for the southern Georgia or northern Florida area.

Position Summary

The Account Executive position is responsible for building your book of business by actively seeking sales opportunities and adding revenue from existing and new accounts within the assigned territory. This person will secure signed service agreements with terms pre-approved by your manager. They will also be in charge of the coordination of claims and managed care service to assigned clients, working with CT TPA and Guardian Managed Care Solutions stakeholders to resolve any issues. This position reports to the Chief Claims Officer of the TPA division.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with assigned goals.
  • Identify new business prospects, develop and implement sales plans to secure targeted new business volume.
  • Capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell service; collaborate with department staff managing the company’s various practices to maximize the sale of service provided.
  • Actively research and display knowledge of prospects and your competition.
  • Input data on potential accounts and renewals to CRM, present proposals to prospects and clients, close sales and deliver service.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure appropriate service is provided consistent with their changing needs and coordinate services to provide the highest possible quality account service.
  • Create and maintain an effective working relationship with key personnel in client organizations to anticipate needs and provide professional advice and solutions.
  • Monitor account expirations; ensure timely client notifications, policy renewals and appropriate updating.
  • Maintain appropriate involvement with industry and community organizations to improve personal status to represent the company.
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned.
  • Limited regional travel.

  • Accept constructive feedback from others and make adjustments to performance based on such feedback.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Be accountable for responsibilities of the position, meet deadlines, and live up to commitments.
  • Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate equipment, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and management system.


Required Education & Experience

  • College degree, professional designation or equivalent training and/or experience preferred.
  • Holds required and appropriate Producer’s license.
  • A minimum of two years business experience.
  • Technical education and willingness to continued education essential.
  • Successful sales / service records in insurance industry or other industry preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
