Job description

Partnerships Development Officer - Maternity Cover (Fixed term)

Our NSPCC Strategy 2021+ sets out how we'll work together with everyone – from schools to local authorities and corporate partners – to reach more children and prevent child abuse and neglect. As we embark on our strategy, we're working on an integrated service offer which meets the needs of children and young people, families and professionals. We aim to develop further collaboration with partners across the UK, to ensure we build on our learning and influence widely on our focus being child sexual abuse and early years.

The Partnerships and Development team, brings together a range of direct services that we deliver in partnership with other agencies and with our community partners. Working with others, we are creating learning and modelling how we can change systems, support the most vulnerable children and families, and build communities that nurture children.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established energetic and ambitious team. We are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Development Officer. This role, will focus primarily on NSPCC's priority areas of prevention child sexual abuse and Early Years.

You will work to play a critical role in influencing change, by leading the development and delivery initiatives aimed at preventing child sexual abuse. You will build and nurture relationships with communities, local organisations and stakeholders to create strong partnerships, ensuring that the development work is responsive to the needs of the community and are effective in addressing the challenges of child sexual abuse.

This is the perfect opportunity to contribute to NSPCC's strategic goals by developing and implementing evidence-based approaches to influence and achieve change at a system level to improve outcomes for children across the UK. You will have a keen interest in the prevention of abuse, and a curiosity and knowledge of what works. You will also have experience of influencing multi agency policy and practice and bring expertise in successful project management and overseeing evaluation and improvement.

The main duties and responsibilities are detailed in the job description

Join us and you'll become part of a team who care about the work we do and the people we work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. This is an exciting opportunity to find your own way, make a difference that means more, and impacts millions of young lives.

There is a limited amount of travel required for this role to participate in development activities.
