ING is looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our Design & Research Center of Expertise in Brussels, Belgium. You'll be part of a passionate team of over 25 creative minds, working on product design, UX research, and content design. Together, we create digital experiences for over 3 million customers and 7,500 employees.

We’re looking for a collaborative designer who loves tackling complex design challenges and pushing the boundaries of user experience. In this role, you’ll create smart, user-friendly designs that meet both user needs and business objectives. You’ll play a key role in shaping our product design vision, improving processes, and mentoring fellow designers.
A Day in the life of a Senior Product Designer
- You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including Research, Product Design, Content Design, Business, and Development.
- Your responsibilities will include contributing to concept direction and development, discovering solution opportunities, and defining design rationales.
- You’ll work across all stages of the design process, from user research and ideation to final visual design and implementation support.
- As an advocate for user experience at ING, you’ll promote the value of design, increase engagement, and clearly communicate research findings and design ideas.

- At least 5 years of experience in a digital design role.
- A master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of UX, information architecture, UI design, prototyping, and user-centered design principles.
- Proactive approach to design, with the ability to ask critical questions and base your design on data.
- Expertise in Figma.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Bonus points: Experience in the finance sector.

The Design & Research Center of Expertise, established in January 2020, is part of the Tribe Digital, Assisted & Customer Interactions.
Our team consists of experts in User Experience Design, Service Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, User Research, Usability Validation, and Content Design. We aspire to deliver high-quality user experiences and design visions. Collaborating with design departments in other ING countries, we co-develop the ING design system.
