JOB DESCRIPTION:

The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving business development and managing relationships with key national suppliers within the automotive industry. This role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, negotiating strategic partnerships, and expanding market share with top-tier suppliers across the nation. The ideal candidate will leverage industry knowledge and strategic thinking to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships while ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential for success in this fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Travel:

Typically, it can be 60% of the time, but during peak conference times, it can be up to 80%.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan in coordination with team members.

  • Foster enthusiasm and secure buy-in for corporate account sales, motivating corporate sales teams and franchises to actively engage with and drive sales to local and national accounts.

  • Manage supplier relationships with national MSOs.

  • Facilitate training using various mediums, including virtual sessions, one-on-one instruction, classroom ILT (Instructor-Led Training), and meetings for both large and small groups.

Qualifications:
  • Multi-unit management expertise and a complete understanding of the area of specialization, adept at creatively resolving a wide range of challenges & opportunities.

  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required. 

  • A minimum of five years of experience working with franchises is required.

  • Experience with memorandums of understanding (MOUs), agreements, and contract negotiations.

  • Proficiency in various computer programs and applications, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, and Salesforce.

  • Knowledge of automotive heating and air conditioning systems, as well as engine cooling systems.

  • Experience with automotive shop management software, including Alldata, PartsTech, and Mitchell 1.

  • Experience as a service manager or service advisor is advantageous.

$76,500.00 - $136,600.00

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
