Host Relations Account Manager, Work and Travel Program 

  • Typed of Position: Full Time
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: 40
  • Location: Remote but U.S. residency is required. Headquartered in Chicago. 

 

 

Summary: The Host Relations Account Manager supports the mission of Greenheart International by recruiting premier placement opportunities and providing quality services, communication, and programming to Department of State’s BridgeUSA programs, specifically Summer Work Travel host organizations and supporting program participants. This sales-focused role is responsible for identifying and onboarding hosts, providing support throughout the lifecycle of an account and maintaining strong productive relationships with hosts. This role works closely with Greenheart’s internal teams to achieve enrollment goals and maintain quality standards.

What we’re looking for: 

The ideal candidate should have prior sales experience with a proven track record of meeting sales goals. They should be motivated by sales goals, while staying within the compliance perimeters and regulatory standards. They should be able to research the various stakeholders and industries that align with program objectives. 

 

The candidate must be outgoing, organized, and have the ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. In a fast-paced working environment, the ability to oversee multiple projects and deadlines is essential in this role. Self-direction, hard work, and effective communication with various stakeholders are essential to success in this role. 

 

Some things you will do as a Host Relations Account Manager, Work and Travel Program

 

In this role, you will generate sales and foster relationships with host organizations participating in the BridgeUSA Work and Travel Program, including: 

 

  • Develop partnerships with new host organizations in preferred industries. 
  • Create and execute sales strategies to recruit host organizations. 
  • Conduct sales outreach using proven sales tactics, including pipeline management and creating high-level sales presentations. 
  • Conduct industry research and oversee lead generating activities, including trade show participation, online inquiry tracking and strategic marketing. 
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of sales activities and account data to monitor progress and performance. 
  • Meet or exceed individual and departmental sales targets. 
  • Develop strong, lasting relationships with new and existing host organization. 
  • Coordinate continued customer service and program education efforts over the life of all accounts and provide support to the host organization, as needed. 
  • Work closely with the Placement Services Team to ensure a seamless hiring experience and customize host hiring strategy based on preferences and market trends.  
  • Attend industry conferences and represent Greenheart with professionalism. 
  • Work with other teams within PEP (Professional Exchange Programs) to ensure a successful program experience for BridgeUSA participants. 
  • Carry the emergency phone and follow all Greenheart emergency phone procedures as assigned. 

 

Some qualifications you should have: 

 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree highly preferred. 
  • At least two years of sales experience required, preferably B2B and/or in a non-profit setting. 
  • Experience in international exchange programs preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience managing a high volume of emails and telephone calls. 
  • Customer service experience is a must, including proven experience in resolving conflicts and managing sensitive situations. 
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills. 
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and capable of working in diverse, cross-cultural teams, contributing to a dynamic work environment. 
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. 
  • This role will involve some domestic travel (U.S. residence is required) and may involve international travel. 
  • Experience studying, volunteering or working outside the U.S. and/or experience working in a multicultural and/or multilingual environment preferred. 
  • Eagerness to embrace new challenges, demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude and acquire new skills as needed. 

 

Compensation: $54,000 to $58,000 (potential incentivized bonus)
