The Senior Business Development Executive focuses on selling to net new revenue within Commercial customers through prospecting, networking, and executing on marketing initiatives to increase our footprint. With a focus on Total Customer Satisfaction, you also will proactively manage Iron Mountain Commercial customers through new opportunity identification, upsell execution, renewal strategy, and issue management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess prospective and assigned customers’ current and potential needs, determining appropriate new revenue streams from Iron Mountain products and solutions 

  • Develop and implement strategies and business plans according to customers’ business model 

  • Manage timely detailed responses to RFPs, track activity, forecast, do competitive research

  • Identify, sell, and close new areas of opportunity, securing resources and driving sales process

  • Partner with customers on renewals and work through RFP process, identifying gaps 

  • Negotiate pricing and SLA as appropriate to drive customer retention  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Thorough understanding of strategic selling methodologies

  • Strong background in strategic account management, sales process, and solution selling

  • Minimum of three years of direct sales experience in a service-based industry or equivalent

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills through power messaging

  • Strong interpersonal, planning, analytics and business acumen for effective decision making

  • Experience working in complex sales organizations
