Job description

Are you a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for sales in the Point of Sale (POS) hardware industry? Retail Technology Group is seeking a talented Sales Hunter to join our innovative and fast-paced team.

Working under the direct supervision of the Managing Director and/or the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Executive is responsible for developing and managing assigned accounts, prospecting the assigned territory/vertical market, developing new business, and attaining individual quota goals. The Sales Executive maintains strong relationships with key customer stakeholders in all assigned accounts and works closely with internal Customer Relationship Managers to ensure smooth account operations. 

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Actively seek new customer opportunities for Retail Technology Group within assigned territory/vertical market 
  • Develop and implement strategies for growing sales in assigned accounts, communicating strategies to CRMs to ensure a unified service approach
  • Support all ongoing sales and introduce new offerings to existing customers
  • Coordinate the submission and completion of customer RFPs 
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW) agreements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of SLAs, pricing, and other components
  • Present portfolio of RTG services, advise customers of new service offerings and propose customized offerings tailored to meet unique customer requirements
  • Answer customer inquiries concerning RTG products, services, and their uses; provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other information needed to accelerate the sales cycle 
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepare contracts and submit orders
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and RTG staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products and services are properly executed
  • Maintain strong industry, product, and competitive knowledge 
  • Become an industry expert on hospitality industry technology and business trends 
  • Prepare and report results, forecasts, leads, and all other account statuses to the Vice President of Sales 
  • Engage management team as needed to secure new business and resolve account issues

 

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Experience preparing RFPs, contracts, and sales orders a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (NetSuite or equivalent CRM package experience a plus)
  • Background in Retail, Hospitality, or Restaurant experience is a strong plus
  • Experience in a customer service environment - minimum of 2 years preferred
  • Adept at managing virtual teams; including the use of virtual meeting platforms (i.e., MS Teams or ZOOM)
  • Possibility of travel 10-25%
  • Bachelor's level degree in business, communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of field sales experience in retail/enterprise technology or services with a proven track record of growing sales
