Job Overview

Join VIQ Solutions, a pioneer in transcription services supporting legal and judicial sectors during their transition to a technology-driven workflow. We are seeking seasoned Legal/Judicial contract candidates with extensive experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role presents a fully remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings.
  • Process audio recordings while adhering strictly to established style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality in all transcriptions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
  • Exceptional listening skills and adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guidelines.
  • Outstanding literacy skills, including proficiency in comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Typing proficiency with both speed and accuracy.
  • Capability to process challenging audio/text content.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Court reporting students are encouraged to apply.
  • Currently, this opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
