Job Title: Legal Transcriptionist - Remote Opportunity

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract transcribers with a strong background in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position is entirely remote, allowing Independent Contractors the flexibility to work on their own schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and uphold high standards of accuracy in all transcriptions.
  • Collaborate remotely with our in-office support team for guidance and assistance as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
  • Proficient typing skills with both speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Capable of processing sensitive audio/text content (may include offensive material).
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and work independently.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in legal transcription or a related field.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
