We are seeking skilled independent contractors with substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain strict adherence to style guides to produce high-quality verbatim transcripts.
  • Collaborate remotely with our dedicated in-office team, seeking guidance as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening abilities and outstanding literacy skills, including proficiency in spelling and grammar.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
  • Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating in a remote environment.
  • High typing speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Ability to process challenging audio/text content (subject matter may be sensitive).
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in legal transcription or related fields.
  • Court reporting students are encouraged to apply.
