This is a remote position.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time role, 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 10am - 3pm AEST (8am to 1pm PHT) with 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description
As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of this restaurant group’s financial operations, working with modern accounting software and an innovative inventory management system. Your role will combine financial acumen with administrative skills, offering a diverse and engaging workday. You’ll manage bookkeeping tasks for multiple locations, assist with data entry for a new inventory system, and provide general administrative support. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of working across various aspects of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Perform bank, vendor, credit card, and product reconciliations.
  • Oversee bookkeeping activities, payroll processing, and compliance with IAS and BAS requirements.
  • Handle sales, vendor, purchase order, and invoice reconciliations.
  • Manage product costing, inventory control, and related reporting.
  • Prepare accurate forecasting and budgeting reports.
  • Raise and process invoices using Xero and resolve purchase orders, sales transactions, or payment discrepancies.
  • Analyze product discounts and manage accounting documentation.
  • Generate management accounting reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3+ years in Accounting/Bookkeeping with US, UK, or AUS clients.
    • Preferred: With 3+ years in the hospitality, restaurant, food manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in Xero (Certified), Excel, Microsoft Office & Office 365, DropBox, and Google Suite.
    • Familiarity with hospitality sales systems such as Uber Eats, Menu Log, LOKE, Light Speed, or Door Dash is a plus.
  • Core Skills:
    • Proficient in sales, vendor, and purchase order reconciliations.
    • Strong knowledge of product costing, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
    • Skilled in payroll processing (Xero payroll) and invoicing.
    • Experience with discrepancy resolution and management accounting reporting.
