Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 2-4 days a week.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Deliver on aspects of the people plan(labour, process and tools) as assigned by the L3 Head of HR Business Partnerships.

  • Deliver, and maintain communication on HR systems, programs and processes that are in place to support  functional areas HR needs and Gaps.

  • Monitor and maintain compliance around HR policies/labour legislation and identify risks and actions to escalate to the Head of HR Business Partnerships as needed.

  • Provide feedback from client to COEs and HR Ops to ensure programs and guiding principles meet the needs of the functional group(s).

  • Manage and ensure there is coaching and counselling on employee relations and labour relations programs, policies and procedures that impact your functional group(s).

  • Build business relationships as a trusted and proactive HR Partner to drive employee engagement.

  • Develop HR Specific content as the Subject Matter Expert.

What You'll Bring:

  • University or college degree in business, HR or a related field; or equivalent experience

  • Bilingualism English and French-

  • 5+years of people management experience

  • 5+ years experience in an HR role, with relevant experience in investigations

  • 5+ years of people management experience

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop team members at all levels

  • Ability to communicate/build relationships with various team stake holders across functional departments

  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations

  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Effective impacting, critical thinking and influencing skills

  • Experience working with an in HRIS platform

  • Acts with the highest professional standards of personal and professional integrity

Assets You May Have:

  • HR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completed

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel with overnight stay required (Our Montreal Buying Office, located in Laval).
