As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll play a crucial role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities, focusing on biotech and pharma companies. Reporting to Julian Moxon, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build a pipeline of high-quality leads, contributing to revenue growth and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in biotech and life sciences, eager to build a career in sales, and ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

  • Salary - ÂŁ30,000-40,000 base (+ OTE)
  • Location - Remote, UK only
What you'll be doing:
  • Generating Leads: Reach out to potential clients via email, phone, and social channels to generate new opportunities.
  • Handling Inbound Leads: Respond promptly and professionally to inbound inquiries, ensuring timely qualification and follow-up.
  • Qualifying Opportunities: Use frameworks like BANT to assess the fit between Sano’s solutions and prospective clients.
  • Scheduling Meetings: Assist in scheduling meetings for the Account Executive team and support handover conversations.
  • Tracking Activities: Log outreach activities in the CRM and maintain accurate records of lead interactions.
  • Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales to improve messaging and increase operational efficiency.
  • Improving Performance: Take a data-driven approach to track key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and meet or exceed lead generation targets.
  • Attending Events: Support the sales team at conferences and industry events (approx. once per quarter), helping with logistics and prospecting.
 This job is for you if you:
  • Have some experience or a strong interest in sales, prospecting, or business development, particularly in biotech, pharma, or similar industries.
  • Are curious about clinical trials and excited to learn more about the biotech and life sciences space.
  • Are enthusiastic about learning sales processes, including outbound prospecting and lead qualification.
  • Have a data-driven approach to tracking performance and improving results.
  • Are a strong communicator, with clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Are self-motivated, with a positive, proactive attitude and a desire to grow in a sales career.
Even better if you have:
  • Have experience in B2B tech or SaaS sales, especially in a lead generation role.
  • Are familiar with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
  • Hold a qualification in Life Sciences, which would enhance your understanding of Sano’s products.
This role is unlikely to be a great match if:
  • Lack interest in biotech or life sciences: This role requires curiosity and a desire to learn about the industry.
  • Dislike working in a high-volume environment: Success as an SDR involves high levels of outreach and fast-paced lead qualification.
  • Struggle with organisation and follow-through: You’ll need to manage multiple tasks and consistently follow up with prospects.
  • Don’t know how to prioritise: Success as an SDR requires managing a high volume of tasks, prioritising effectively, and focusing on the highest-impact activities to meet targets.
