Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Client Timezone: Bloomfield, New Jersey

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday (EST)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources and Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll processing and benefits administration using Paychex software. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll compliance, HR practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely processing while supporting human resource management functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll using Paychex software, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant payroll laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee employee benefits enrollment, updates, and terminations in Paychex.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with human resources tasks, including maintaining employee records, onboarding, and supporting HR policy compliance.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports for management as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Paychex software for payroll and benefits administration is a big plus.
  • Understanding of payroll processing and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in human resources management, particularly in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with other HR software and tools is a plus.
