Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven General Manager to join our growing team!
The General Manager (GM) will oversee the day-to-day operations of a nation-wide Amerit Business Segment. The GM is responsible for safety, client satisfaction, inventory and operational management, team engagement and recognition, as well as the financial performance of the Segment. In summary, the GM will embody Amerit’s SCORE values of Safety, Customer Centric, Ownership, Recognition, and Excellence. The ideal candidate is a natural leader and motivator with a strong focus on customer service, excellent team-building and problem-solving skills, and strong financial acumen to ensure Segment profitability. The General Manager will report to the Executive Vice President of Operations.
Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary Range: $175k plus, including Annual Performance-Based Bonus Plan

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensures the safety of all employees working within the segment by providing the support, training, tools, and oversight necessary to perform work safely.
· Proactively partners with key client contacts fostering healthy business relationships.
· Ensures consistent delivery of high-quality fleet maintenance services and contract KPIs/SLAs, including day to day service levels, communication, system updates, accurate billing, as well as customer experience, quality, and compliance measures.
· Maximizes employee engagement and minimizes turnover. Develops and oversees the Segment organizational structure.
· Responsible for the development of the operational talent pool by optimizing the skills of the existing team, in partnership with our internal EHS, safety and training departments.
· Develops a well-defined communication and engagement model in place to ensure all teams understand the performance of the business and needs of their teams.
· Oversees internal metrics and ensures alignment with targets set by executive leadership.
· Ownership of the Segment Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and accountable for delivering Field Operating Profit that meets or exceeds Board Approved budget & rolling forecast.
· Identifies and implements operational best practices across all teams within the Segment.
· Evaluates new business opportunities within the Segment and prepares executive-level recommendations about which opportunities to pursue.
· Attends executive-level meetings to report out on Segment performance.
Key Competencies and Minimum Education:
· 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a fleet maintenance or operational organization.
· Strong safety focus and experience supporting a safety-first culture.
· Customer relations management across a large, geographically dispersed operation with multiple levels of customers and stakeholders.
· Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at an executive level.
· Proven experience in management for operations, planning, maintenance, and customer service.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extensive business acumen, proficiency in analyzing data to support decision making and identify improvement opportunities.
· Strong focus on people with the ability to find, attract, develop, and retain talented team members.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams leveraging a project management framework.
· A business focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically.
· Passionate self-starter, decisive, able to partner with the customer and effect the desired outcomes.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong computer skills to include use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· College Degree required.
Working Conditions:
Travel: For the first 6 months up to 75%. Once established in role, approximately 50%.
