Job description

Overview:

The Director of Product Marketing will lead efforts to position and promote the company’s products and services effectively in the market, ensuring they resonate with target audiences and drive business results. This role is critical in crafting compelling messaging, delivering go-to-market strategies, and enabling sales teams with actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product positioning, competitive dynamics, and customer needs, paired with the ability to execute integrated marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a clear and compelling positioning and messaging framework for all products.
  • Roll out the messaging framework across the organization, ensuring adherence and consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Tailor messaging for different audience segments, ensuring relevance and impact.
  • Own and manage product-related website content, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand and messaging strategies.
  • Drive the creation of compelling customer stories and case studies to showcase product value and customer success.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to understand the landscape, identify opportunities, and inform product differentiation.
  • Create and maintain competitive intelligence resources for internal teams, including battle cards, market insights, and training.
  • Brief in customer research initiatives to gather insights on customer pain points, needs, and behaviors.
  • Leverage customer insights to refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Plan and execute product launches, including defining goals, coordinating cross-functional teams, and measuring success.
  • Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, demand, and adoption of products.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market initiatives.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • ​​​Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with a strong track record of leading positioning, messaging, and go-to-market efforts.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional ability to distill complex technical or product concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across marketing, product, and sales organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage customer and market data to inform strategy.
  • Expertise in competitive analysis and customer research methodologies.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute product launches and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation Information: Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $156k-$188.5k annual. Benefits:
