Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Part-Time Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the core financial operations for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels in financial management, and is looking for a part-time schedule. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards.

Schedule

  • Part-time, 4 days per week

Location

  • In-office, in the Cleveland area

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions such as sales, expenses, payments, and invoices.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support senior management’s decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external accounting firms to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with prior experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and financial reporting tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
