Job description

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Billing System & Product Analyst I. This Billing Product & System Analyst I is responsible for delivering core billing capabilities on behalf of CopperPoint via the enterprise billing applications and other related systems. The role is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the platform, including the management of key integrations and enhancements. Strategically, the role is responsible for designing and delivering requirements that optimally reflect key billing processes and improve customer billing touchpoints.

Job Description:

  • Review and analyze how changes to the business process and/or business needs will impact technical requirements throughout the system and organization.
  • Create Software Requirements Specifications, use cases, technical requirements, wireframes, system flow diagrams, and other documentation for Guidewire configurations and custom software development projects.
  • Work with major functional areas of the business to understand and document change requests submitted to the IT (Information Technology) organization.
  • Work with the Operations team to triage production issues prior to development involvement.
  • Knowledgeable on integrations with internal and external applications; research any dependencies and work on system design plan with solution architect and developers.
  • Shepherd ideas through the System Development Life Cycle to ensure new business processes and system changes are documented, developed, tested, and promoted successfully.
  • Be the liaison between functional leads, development teams, and support teams.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), Go-live sessions as needed.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure test cases are current, and correct, and cover alternative paths for existing and new system functionality.
  • Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, and personal strengths, and address development areas.



Qualifications/Competencies:

  • BS/BA college degree. The knowledge and skill levels acquired through undergraduate level studies, especially in business administration or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry.
  • Experience with drafting/developing requirements for billing/payment applications – experience with Guidewire’s Billing Center is a plus.
  • Proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to develop Use Cases for billing systems implementation, enhancements, and defects.
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance and insurance-related systems.



Salary Range:

  • $52,000.00 - $68,000.00 annually
  • Compensation may vary dependent on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
  • In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
