DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
About the role
The Solutions Engineer will work to consult and advise customers on networking and security solutions. The Solution Engineer influences both technical and business partners by translating business objectives into technical and technology solutions. This will be done by conducting hands-on demo, technical/technology benefits discussions, solution-oriented design, and implementation/deployment guidance.
This role will report to the Manager, Solution Engineer
As the Jr. Solutions Engineer, you will:
- Provide pre-sales technical consultation for the design and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams, vendors, and industry partners in assessing potential application of our products, ensuring that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers.
- Develop and execute technical sales plans and proposals (RFP, RFQ) to grow Exclusive’s business in a driven and opportunity-filled sales environment.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partner community.
- Deliver training and support to our industry partners and customer engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE |
About you
The ideal Solutions Engineer:
- Familiarity of TCP/IP networking and some hands-on experience
- A bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Firewall, Switches, WiFi, and Endpoint security knowledge
- Confirmed understanding and hands-on expertise with networking products and technologies across the routing, switching, and security domains.
- Must be able to multi-task and be motivated to learn new skills and take on new challenges
- Maintain 4+ vendors product technical certifications
- Strong interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with experience in customer-facing sales activities.
- Proven technical capabilities, an ability to learn quickly, and apply skills on new protocols and applications.
- Excellent communication skills within a team, cross-teams, service SLA is within 30 minutes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of emerging technology areas. This includes Virtualization, VMWare, OpenStack, Contrail, VNF, and Container solutions.
- Familiarization Command Line Interface (CLI), Linux hands-on experience is a plus.
- Networking industry certification
