Job Title: DevOps Engineer I

Location: Fully Remote (M-F, Central Time)

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for conversion to full time role)

Job Description:

A global medical device company is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinating with various IT functions. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing hardware/software, maintaining system documentation, tuning performance, and handling backup/recovery.
• Executing planned configuration changes and interacting with users and stakeholders to implement changes and deliver support.
• Coordinating release activities between development project teams and the DevOps team, while streamlining and automating processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or some relevant experience with an advanced degree
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers in virtualized and cloud environments
• Experience with MS SQL, GIT, Jenkins, Windows Services, and Web Services
• Familiarity with multiple system/software lifecycle environments
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a self-driven attitude
• Strong scripting, infrastructure as code, and automation skills

Nice to Have:

• Developer experience
• Experience with Octopus Deploy, Docker, Kubernetes, Mongo Atlas, Ansible, Artifactory/JFrog, and OpenShift
