Job description

Job Description:
​Assists customers with the appropriate fit and training of Össur Upper Limb prosthetics. Delivering high level demonstrations and education on Össur’s full range of upper limb products in multiple settings.  Responds to technical inquiries, complaints, and clinical feedback from customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting on all field activity, training courses, and customer contact.
  • Evaluates and implements education to reduce patient rejection.
  • Assists Director of Academy in ensuring all team members meet technical competency standards of Upper Limb Prosthetics.
  • Responsible for maintaining their professional accreditation and standards.
  • Maintains industry leading professional and technical knowledge of Össur and other manufacturers products.
  • Attending educational and professional conferences, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain a healthy working relationship with their key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge, skill, and experience of the clinical team.

General:

  • All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in quality requirements of Össur. training takes place in the onboarding process and in new employee orientation. More specific quality training is job specific.
  • All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance with the training management process.
  • Exercises good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines. Always maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative. 
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Adhere to company’s safety rules.
  • Adhere to company values – honesty – frugality – courage.


Qualifications:

  • ABC or BOC Certified Prosthetist (CP) or Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO).
  • Bachelor’s degree/or qualified health care professional
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • 5+ years of Upper Limb prosthetics experience
  • Familiarity with Össur products preferred.
  • Good presentation/communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
