About the Role
The Policy Research Vertical at the Climate Collective Foundation focuses on advancing sub-national climate technology solutions by providing policymakers with data-driven insights and fostering strategic collaborations.
The Data Analyst and Visualization Specialist at the Climate Collective Foundation will play a crucial role in advancing climate technology solutions by supporting the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data dashboard. This position focuses on data-baselining and benchmarking policies to provide actionable insights for subnational government officials and other stakeholders.
Duration: 12 months (possibility of contract extension)
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain data dashboards for baselining and benchmarking climate tech policies.
· Collect, analyze, and visualize data related to green-sectoral and climate tech startup ecosystems.
· Collaborate with subnational government officials to define key data points and indicators.
· Perform primary and secondary research to gather necessary data.
· Create detailed, visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
· Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelors Degree in any field
· Experience in conducting primary and secondary research to inform data analysis.
· Proven experience of at least 3 years with data analysis and visualization tools.
· Understanding of data governance and security practices.
· Demonstrated experience of 2 years in developing and managing data dashboards or similar tools.
· Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
· Previous experience in climate tech, sustainable energy, or related fields is preferred.
· Familiarity with policy analysis and evaluation frameworks is a plus.
· Experience working with government agencies or in a policy advisory role is desirable.
Skills Required
· Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
· Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing concepts, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with external stakeholders.
· Experience in project management and ability to meet deadlines.
