Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing personal injury and family cases, ensuring smooth case progression, and providing excellent support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with case intake, gather client information, and maintain detailed case files.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel to obtain necessary documentation and provide updates.
  • Schedule appointments, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Manage case calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely filing of documents.
  • Review and organize medical records, bills, and other evidence to support claims.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting demand letters and settlement agreements.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law or family law.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of personal injury law, court procedures, and legal terminology.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with case management software.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
