Job description

The BI Developer is responsible for creating solutions that translate data into effective, actionable information. This role focuses on developing visualizations, managing internal applications, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The BI Developer will design, implement, and support complex applications, integrations, dataflows, and technologies while following industry best practices and implementing necessary security constraints. This role requires working closely with stakeholders and leadership to drive the creation and implementation of innovative data solutions that empower actionable insights, enabling the organization to make informed decisions, improve operations, and achieve its business goals. This is a remote position for candidates located in India.

Accountabilities

Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI.
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and build data models, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making.
Optimize and improve existing BI solutions for better performance and usability.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all BI solutions.
Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
Stay updated with the latest BI trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities.
Ability to work 3rd shift when necessary to assist with Nightly Batch Process monitoring and triage.\

Required Experience And Skills

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline
3-5 years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at once.
Good problem-solving skills and superb attention to detail are essential.
A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels.

Prefered Skills

Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Exposure to leading projects involving multiple stakeholders at different levels in the organization.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at once.
