Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated BI Developer with hands-on experience in MicroStrategy to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive informed decision-making. This role demands strong technical expertise, analytical abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of data management and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

MicroStrategy Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Create schema objects including attributes, facts, hierarchies, and transformations in MicroStrategy.

• Optimize MicroStrategy projects for performance and scalability.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement reporting solutions that provide actionable insights.

• Develop and maintain ad hoc and scheduled reports.

Database and ETL Integration:

• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate and prepare data sources for BI tools.
• Ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support reporting needs.
• Work with SQL to create, optimize, and maintain queries for data analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and

  provide tailored BI solutions.
• Conduct training sessions for business users on MicroStrategy functionality and best practices.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve issues related to BI tools and data.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct unit testing and validate results to ensure data accuracy 

  and reliability.

• Monitor BI system performance and ensure data integrity.

Innovation and Improvement:

• Stay updated on the latest MicroStrategy features and BI trends.

• Propose enhancements to improve reporting processes and user 

  experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Proven experience as a BI Developer with expertise in MicroStrategy.

• Proficiency in designing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and schema objects.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Big Query).

• Certification in MicroStrategy or related BI technologies.
