Job Description:

The client is looking for a Mobile Apps UX Researcher for android products.

Responsibilities:

Perform complex research and experimentation independently with minimal guidance, including needs assessments with product team and end-to-end design and execution of mixed methods research projects
Strong research analysis, communication, and influencing skills.
Must be able to drive decisions within product teams based on research insights
Must be able to work flexible work hours (will need to work with team based in Japan California/Washington/Colorado) and prioritize research effectively across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Prioritize research across projects, negotiate, and communicate priorities with team members and stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., participating in objectives and key results meetings) to include UX research as part of prioritization.
Plan, design, and engage in research that informs the product/service/business mission, direction, and/or strategy, increasing knowledge about users’ needs, pain points, values, opportunities, and motivations.

Experience:

3 years of experience minimum managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization.
Can work independently and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects
Passion for communications and calling/messaging apps
Skilled at conducting in-person interviews
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation and influencing skills
Comfortable with and skilled at analyzing large qualitative datasets (e.g., interview videos, transcripts, open-ended survey responses)
Understands basic statistical concept

Skills:

Methods for defining and measuring UX
Ability to analyze situations
User interviews, diary studies, usability studies
Calling/messaging apps

Education:

B.S or graduate degree in HCI, psychology, anthropology, human factors or another relevant field
