Job description

UPMC Health Plan is hiring remote Temporary Fax Clerk Admins to help support the Quality Improvement Department.

This is a Monday through Friday daylight position, and selected candidates will work remotely from home full-time. The successful candidate will provide administrative support including sending electronic faxes, speaking with providers via the phone, and documenting this interaction via web-based software.

This temporary assignment will run from January 2025 - April 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to gather documentation from providers.
  • Send electronic faxes to providers.
  • Answer incoming inquiries from UPMC Health Plan providers.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by being proactive and responsive to all UPMC Health Plan customer requests.
  • Work with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based software on a daily basis.
  • Support all department personnel with duties including but not limited to answering phones, taking messages, filing, and faxing.
  • High School Diploma strongly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Must provide computer and smart phone.
  • One year of administrative support working experience is highly preferred.
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheets, and web-based software.
  • Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs.
  • General knowledge and experience with office equipment such as copiers, multi-line phone systems, fax machines and paging systems.
