Details of the role and how it fits into the team
 

Join DB Group Audit (GA) Investment Bank (IB) team in Madrid, to provide audit assurance for Global Financing & Credit Trading and Emerging Markets Trading & Financing in EMEA, and Research and Benchmarks globally.

Participate in audits covering IB front office, as well as second line functions in Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Legal.

Work collaboratively with other audit teams to provide integrated coverage.

Engage remotely with colleagues and stakeholders worldwide, no travelling.   
 

Responsibilities

  • Execute and document internal controls testing applying a risk-based approach and Agile methodology, with minimal supervision and within agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Deliver audit planning, meet stakeholders, document process flows, identify key risks & controls and test design & operational effectiveness, documenting the work concisely.
  • Participate in annual risk assessments, and continuous business monitoring and findings tracking.
  • Present to GA and IB management complex and sensitive messages comprehensively and professionally, being able to reduce complex topics to simple statements.
  • Focus on self-development, learn new skills and reinforce an environment where self and team performance, management and development is a key priority.
     

Skills

  • Proven experience in auditing internal controls in financial institutions, applying a risk-based approach and demonstrating knowledge of regulation and auditing standards.
  • Proficient in English communication and skilled at collaborating with diverse international teams virtually.
  • Self-starter, committed and able to multi-task assignments, prioritize workload with limited supervision and be resilient under pressure when faced with tight deadlines.
  • Strong relationship management, analytical, problem solving and influencing skills. Able to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • Knowledge of benchmarks regulation, risks and expected controls.
