We are hiring an EU – Technical Applications Specialist. The EU – Technical Applications Specialist will act as the technical sales liaison to all clinics and commercial members in assigned region. Primary responsibilities will be to optimize clinics for FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific Products including all Embryology and Andrology media products, Life Whisperer Artificial Intelligence, Equipment for the IVF laboratory and all new product releases.

Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of product evaluations, ensuring clinics adhere to product IFUs and industry standards.
- Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to sales personnel and laboratory personnel, ensuring proficiency in product usage and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to media and equipment employing your expertise to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments, develop quality improvement initiatives, and establish standard operating procedures to optimize the efficiency and success utilizing FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific products.
- Analyze and interpret data generated from product evaluations to work in conjunction with IVF clinics ensuring conversions to FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific products.
- Conduct best practice sharing by communicating all industry trends, news, new developments and scientific outcomes internally.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all evaluations, observations troubleshooting and complaint handling to help drive organization efficiencies.
- Create, maintain and foster collaborations and relationships with key opinion leaders, researchers, and clinicians in the field of embryology.
Sales Support
- Travels frequently with sales members for customer visits, business presentations, troubleshooting, evaluations, etc.
- Must strategize and work closely with all sales personnel on how to convert potential new business.
- Works with the sales team on product presentations and product evaluations.
- Once identified leads customer evaluations with the goal to covert clinics to FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific products.
- Provides technical support to customers and distributors (via phone, email, visit to clinics, congresses) for all products including media, equipment, artificial intelligence and others as they arise.
- Coordinates with third party partners for equipment support and needs, acts as support lead to customers and sales team.
- Actively participates in regional seminars and congresses; updating field knowledge and business activity, expanding industry relationships, including identification of potential key opinion leaders.
Marketing Support
- Creates materials for sales training and sales meeting in product areas.
- Carries out assigned new product training; performs training in conjunction with R&D as appropriate.
- Inputs fully characterized justifications on new product ideas. Carries out market assessments for proposed products.
- Works with Marketing with customer coordination on scientific papers.
- Write technical papers on specific products as promotions.
- Develop and document standards for product evaluation and support improvement.
- Be well versed in competitor’s offerings compared to Fujifilm Irvine Scientific.
- Gathers competitive intelligence as assigned; implements tactics to build competitive barriers.
- Provide training to new hires as needed.
Technical Support
- Works closely with TIG team and other departments for technical support as assigned.
- Handles and collaborates all customer complaints.
- Represents region in assigned interdepartmental projects.
General Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains a favorable image for the company with customers in the marketplace as a whole.
- Prepares monthly activity reports to the Associate Director of Sales.
- Responsible for working within the expense guidelines.
- Responsible for documenting all activities in CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) including complaint management.
Required Skills/Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in reproductive biology, embryology, or a related field is required; Masters and or PhD preferred.
- Clinical Embryologist (ART) experience required.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a clinical Embryologist within IVF.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and presenting scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Confident speaker and networker with the ability to observe and suggest improvements to customers.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in documentation, data management, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborative relationship builder.

- Adaptable and flexible.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze scientific data.
- Intermediate level of clinical embryology and marketing techniques.
- Understanding of the medical markets in Europe including private and public, across all countries.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Italian and English. Additional language skills are preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals and documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from accounts, regulatory agencies or members of business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain/project a positive attitude, especially during difficult situations.
- Requires the skill to work as part of a focused team over extended periods of time.
