As the Payroll Specialist at Vanta, you will have a key role in payroll processing and compliance for all Vanta employees.
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be a key partner on the payroll team by supporting our payroll operations with entry and processing of payroll data, ensuring that our Vantans are paid accurately and on time.
What you’ll do as a Payroll Specialist at Vanta:
Assist with full-cycle US payroll processing and assist with exempt and non exempt payroll transactions on a periodic basis.
Assist with internal/external payroll audits and compliance reporting including 401(k) and Workers Compensation.
Ensure the processing of off-cycle payments for terminations by timely preparing and administering final checks within state regulatory guidelines.
Process manual tax adjustments, quarter-end adjustments, and year-end adjustments.
Assists with reconciling W-2's
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of payroll operations.
Assist and drive internal service level agreements for employee and internal business partner payroll inquiries.
Process employee reimbursements ensuring compliance with company policies.
How to be successful in this role:
3+ years experience processing multi state US payroll
Strong multistate tax and payroll compliance experience.
Experience using ADP Workforce NOW and various HRIS

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $86,000 - $101,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
