The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Senior Consultant will join our AMS Cloud Optimization Practice area (Application Management Solutions / post production). We have an ever-expanding business pipeline and are seeking suitably skilled and interested candidates to help us build our practice in line with the growth of the Workday ecosystem.
As a Workday Functional Senior Consultant, you will play a key role as part of an industry-leading team, helping to drive results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within our Professional Services business group.
- Analyzes, defines and documents complex business requirements and processes relating to functional area of expertise.
- Leads design and review existing or new functionality/configuration with technical and functional resources at all levels, including members of management.
- Understands the scope and details of project plan and is able to identify and communicate the need for resources for tasks or assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manages multiple, parallel projects/tasks using exceptional organizational and time management techniques to successfully complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Manages Workday projects/tasks through the various lifecycle stages, from business need through design and delivery.
- Provide guidance and thought leadership on how skillset and capability can help resolve client needs and actively participates in all phases of the Workday life cycle.
- Monitors progress of tasks against plan, and reports status to leadership on project issues.
- Establishes and maintains client relationships. Communicates client feedback to leadership as appropriate.
- Suggests improvements and proactively addresses issues. Answers all inquiries by established deadlines.
- Demonstrates knowledge relating to Workday functional area and participates in training and development initiatives to keep abreast of current trends and practices.
- Contributes to knowledge management capital through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, and regularly posting best practices and knowledge sharing information to the internal info sharing site.
- Understands quality standards for own work and monitors and manages work of team members, providing feedback as appropriate.
- Completes assigned tasks in prescribed timelines consistent with deliverables and asks for support and direction as appropriate.
- Understands the scope and details of project plan and is able to identify and communicate the need for resources for tasks or assigned areas of responsibility.
- May provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to other team members.
The Requirements:
- 5 plus years previous experience implementing and/or configuring Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking. Prior experience may include PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, Oracle E-Business, Ultipro or other SaaS software solutions. However, Workday deployment experience required.
- Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization is preferred.
- Possesses strong facilitation/presentation skills.
- Experience in transforming business requirements into complex system configurations.
- Ability to be effectively and actively engaged on multiple, parallel projects. Time management and organizational skills are required for success.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands with little supervision.
- Demonstrates strong work ethics, setting an example for others.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Proficient to advanced MS Excel Skills to be used to transform data (advanced formulas).

- Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking certification required. Certification in both functional areas is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or financial discipline or relevant field of study required.
