AmeriHealth Caritas is seeking a talented, passionate Senior Vice President to lead our Enterprise Growth team. ;The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in managed care and/or government programs, driving meaningful growth and innovation in a multi-state, multi-product (Medicaid, Medicare) health plan organization.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the organization’s strategic initiatives to drive growth and expansion across all products. You will be accountable for the development and implementation of an enterprise growth strategy that drives profitable and sustainable growth by defending and growing existing business and including the development of market share growth strategies in existing markets. The SVP Enterprise Growth will be responsible for identification of new growth opportunities across all products in alignment with the enterprise strategy.;

This high impact role will work with executives across the organization to drive growth across multiple lines of business and product segments that accelerate business opportunities in existing and new markets. This position will shape how we go to market, differentiate our services, and build meaningful relationships that will enhance our mission and brand. ;;

You will report to the Chief Growth and Strategy Officer and will focus on growth through business development, market analysis, strategic partnerships, and innovation, and ensuring alignment with the company’s mission. You will oversee Market Development, Proposals, Market Entry, and Solution/Product Development, and will collaborate closely with P&L leaders to drive innovative membership growth in a dynamic and rapidly evolving company.;

The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the changing managed care landscape, expertise in business development, and strong collaboration skills to drive results within a complex and matrixed business model. ;;

Key Responsibilities: ;

  • In partnership with Market and Product Leaders, oversee all re-procurement activities to defend our current business and lead the identification and development of new business opportunities in future markets.
  • Provide a cohesive end to end approach for re-procurement and growth activities, including market research and development, successful proposal development, and market entry execution. ;
  • Work collaboratively and cross functionally with Market and Product Leaders and all corporate and shared services areas to identify new opportunities, solutions, or products that differentiate AmeriHealth Caritas.
  • Develop and maintain external relationships and partnerships that advance AmeriHealth Caritas’ stature in the marketplace and favorably position us in new and prospective markets.
  • Utilize advanced technology and data analytics to inform and drive growth strategies and enhance market competitiveness within existing and new markets.
  • Establish and be accountable for specific performance metrics, including annual membership & revenue growth, market share, and re-procurement rate.
  • Evaluate trends across markets and industry to challenge the status quo and to identify opportunities that enable market competitiveness. ;
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including RFP’s, partnerships and acquisitions. Demonstrate a strong grasp of the industry landscapes and priorities.
  • Build strong cohesive teams and develop initiatives to assure retention of a highly competent and motivated workforce; develop talent at all levels to ensure succession, breadth, depth, and diversity.

Location: ;AmeriHealth Caritas is headquartered in Newton Square, PA.; This role may be performed remotely with regular travel (at least monthly) to the corporate office required.;;

Required Experience And Education

10+ years of progressive senior or executive management experience within a large scale, managed care and/or government program that operated in a multi-state, multi-product (Medicaid, Medicare) health plan organization where you were responsible for:

  • Leading meaningful growth, innovation, and new solutions to bolster market differentiation.
  • Developing the strategy that required a broad, long-term view of the business and external environment in an evolving marketplace.
  • Understanding government programs, specifically federal Medicaid law and state programs to increase membership and revenue growth.
  • Partnering effectively within a matrix environment, excelling at cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related fields required; graduate degree preferred.
