SAP ABAP Consultant with BOPF and FPM

Overview

The SAP ABAP Consultant is a critical role within our organization, responsible for enhancing and developing applications using ABAP programming language while leveraging the Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and Floor Plan Manager (FPM) capabilities. This role is integral to optimizing business processes and aligning technology solutions with the company's objectives. By utilizing BOPF and FPM, the consultant will ensure that the developed applications are efficient, maintainable, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SAP’s development environment and serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that solutions are robust and scalable. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to define requirements, understand processes, and deliver impactful SAP solutions that drive operational excellence and facilitate the delivery of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces.
Implement and customize solutions using BOPF for enhanced functionality.
Design and develop user interfaces using FPM.
Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements and assess business needs.
Debug and troubleshoot existing SAP applications for performance improvement.
Optimize ABAP code for efficiency and scalability.
Create technical documentation for deliverables and processes.
Participate in SAP development and upgrade projects.
Work with other consultants to ensure integration across SAP modules.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
Provide technical support and training to junior developers.
Ensure compliance with SAP standards and methodologies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure user requirements are met.
Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies.
Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
Strong experience with BOPF and FPM framework.
Solid understanding of SAP modules such as SD, MM, or FI.
Proficient in object-oriented programming concepts.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of SAP integration technologies.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 is a plus.
Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
Ability to work cohesively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience in technical documentation and reporting.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies is preferred.
Certification in SAP ABAP would be advantageous.
