Job description

About the Role

As a CAD Draftsperson, you will directly report to the Australian-based Industrial Designer. You will be responsible for leveraging technical expertise in CAD software for seamless data migration, accurate technical drawing creation, and product refinement. You will ensure manufacturability and compliance with engineering standards while contributing to ongoing product development initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate seamless CAD data migration by transferring files from SolidWorks to OnShape, ensuring accuracy and efficiency through advanced software proficiency.
  • Develop precise technical drawings to create comprehensive and user-friendly product installation guides, ensuring clarity and adherence to industry standards.
  • Enhance product designs to ensure manufacturability, aligning them with engineering standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist in advancing product development efforts by contributing to various tasks and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the design process.
 

Position Prerequisites

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks is required.
  • Excellent technical design skills.
 

Skills

  • Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • Ability to deal with complex tasks and approach with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Has high attention to detail.
  • Has excellent organizational and time management skills.
