We are looking for a Senior HR Manager, Talent and DEI who will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and operational initiatives within the Talent and DEI function in Ahlstrom. This position demands a unique combination of conceptual thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring the design and delivery of high-impact programs that align with Ahlstrom's business goals and values. The role requires a highly adaptable individual who thrives in a dynamic, resource-constrained environment, with a proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategy and implementation, in a small, agile team environment.

 

The position report to VP Talent and DEI, and will be located at one of the Ahlstrom main plants/office hubs, preferably in Europe. This role allows hybrid and remote working.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Development and Execution
    • Design and implement global talent and DEI programs, initiatives and processes such as performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and learning solutions.
    • Develop group-wide training programs, from conceptualization to full implementation, aligning with Ahlstrom's business strategy.
    • Ensure governance and alignment of all talent and DEI activities to organizational priorities.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Serve as the main driver for key initiatives, ensuring a sharp focus on priorities to avoid energy loss and resource misallocation.
    • Extract, analyze, and report on talent and DEI data, providing actionable insights to leadership.
    • Maintain high-quality project execution within tight deadlines.
  • Stakeholder engagement
    • Collaborate with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and regional teams to tailor talent solutions that address business needs.
    • Communicate and socialize programs effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Cultural stewardship
    • Uphold Ahlstrom's core values by fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
    • Promote a principles-driven, results-oriented culture through leadership and example.

 

To be successful in this role you should have

  • Demonstrated experience in designing, driving and developing talent management and DEI processes and best practices, as well as implementing those across regions
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and ability to produce executive-level reports.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of project management expertise, ensuring timely and effective program delivery.
