Accounting Supervisor (Remote Contract)

Description

• Participate in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly closing process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including reports on 10‐Q, 10‐K and other filings.
• Assist with year‐end audits.
• Assist the Accounting Project Manager with projects as assigned.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly consolidated financial statements.
• Training new and existing staff as needed.
• Participates in the financial accounting integration within the ERP system, ensuring internal controls are implemented and efficient processes are designed, documented and followed.
• Participates in the budget process and ad hoc projects, as required.
• Maintain technical alignment with key stakeholders.
• Possess a high-level understanding of computer programming languages.
• Check the software projects periodically to evaluate its performance and provide updates.
• Maintain technical alignment with key stakeholders.
• Lead team through all testing and training phases.
• Possess strong knowledge of project management processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of GL accounting/reconciliation experience
• 2+ years of Accounting Manager/Supervisor experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
• 3+ years of experience in a large company setting
• CPA preferred
• Retail industry experience
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
