What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications, including gathering technical data and supporting documentation
  • Manage and maintain the company's patent portfolio, tracking important deadlines and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Prepare and review basic patent-related documents, collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information
  • Support communication between internal teams (R&D, legal, etc.) and external patent counsel
  • Assist with general IP administrative tasks, such as filing and updating records

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Extensive experience with and understanding of patents
  • Experience/knowledge of office actions, new filings, and the ability to read notices and identify deadlines
  • Legal administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with filing system software and docketing
  • Paralegal skills and executive administrative support experience
  • Experience in life sciences or biotech is ideal but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
